Lots of corrosion on the underside of the main board. Cleaned it up with some contact cleaner and a soft toothbrush. Reassembled it and it still works.

Any chance a new gyro alone is going to fix this or am I looking at other problems?

I'm going to open up the MKIII and see how it looks inside next.
